On-Call Nesting Bird Surveys
San Bernardino County Department of Public Works routinely contacted UltraSystems Environmental, Inc. to conduct wildlife and breeding bird surveys for on-call tree trimming projects. UltraSystems biologists conducted migratory nesting bird surveys in and within 500 feet of each project site (Biological Study Area). Biologists coordinated with the field workers and established “No Work” buffer zones around active nests. Daily logs and a project summary memorandum were submitted to the San Bernardino County Department of Public Works for each monitoring project. All projects were completed on time and within the pre-approved budget.
