Elizabeth Lake Road Rehabilitation
The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (LACDPW) proposed a road rehabilitation project on Elizabeth Lake Road near the rural communities of Lake Elizabeth and Leona Valley in unincorporated Los Angeles County, California. The project included replacement or repair of three culverts along the project alignment. UltraSystems biologists conducted a literature review and field survey of the biological resources potentially associated with the culvert sites and the surrounding areas. UltraSystems biologists visited the culvert sites to conduct: habitat assessment and plant community mapping, general plant survey, general wildlife survey, jurisdictional assessment and delineation, and wildlife movement evaluation. UltraSystems prepared and submitted to LACDPW a biological resources evaluation report for the project to include a jurisdictional delineation. The project was completed on time and within budget.
