Beech Street Development Project
UltraSystems prepared a comprehensive project-level EIR for the development of an approximate 120.75-acre site with a variety of uses, including 395 single family residences, three pocket parks, a recreational area, recreational vehicle parking, and general commercial uses. The project site was located within the northwestern portion of the Metropolitan Bakersfield area within an area governed by Kern County’s Western Rosedale Specific Plan (WRSP). The proposed project included a Specific Plan Amendment and zone change to modify the existing land use designations for the project site from agricultural to Urban Land. It also included a Petition for Exclusion from the County’s Agricultural Preserve because the project was located within Agricultural Preserve No. 9.
