Tustin Citrus Ranch Park
UltraSystems provided cultural resource monitoring services needed for the construction of one of Tustin’s newest attractions, 17-acre Citrus Park. Cultural resources monitoring was necessary, as three prehistoric sites are located within a half-mile radius of the park. The archaeological literature stated that artifacts had been discovered on these sites in the past. Construction of the park required excavating and moving large amounts of soil. During all phases of park construction, an UltraSystems archaeologist monitored and photographed the work for the presence of artifacts. At the end of monitoring a negative-findings report was prepared for the client.
